Marcelo Ranzini, (Argentina 1974), gets the Building Technician degree at E.N.E.T 5 from Rosario. He becomes an Architect in 2001 at Facultad de Arquitectura, Planeamiento y Diseño, Rosario. In 2004 he gets Alban scholarship to attend the Architectural Design Master´s Degree at Navarra University. In the same year he is granted permission for an exchange between UNR and UPC to attend the Project PhD, getting the Teaching degree in 2006 and the Investigation degree in 2007. In 2008 he validates his Architecture degree in Spain at EscuelaTécnica Superior de Arquitectura de Valladolid. He is currently working on his thesis “Wladimiro Acosta and social housing”.
He starts his professional career in Rosario, where he wins several architecture competitions both at provincial and national level. After winning the National University Prize in 2001, with a jury leaded by ClorindoTesta, he moves to Buenos Aires where he is given a grant to work with one of the most important Architects in Argentina: Mario Roberto Alvarez y Asociados. In 2004 he starts developing his academic career alternating his residence around Barcelona, Pamplona and Valladolid. In 2006, after collaborating with Mario Corea, he becomes Project Manager in Mario Corea´s office where he works until 2010.
Marcelo Ranzini – Architecture is currently developing its professional activity in Barcelona- Rosario- participating in national and international competitions, doing private and public work and working in investigation and teaching. He has been a professor of “Project” in Universidad Internacional de Cataluña, Teacher assistant for the City College of New York and Guest Professor in many Architecture and Design Schools. His works have been published in America, Europe and Asia.
